Last night we had a setback that unfortunately prevented Rusty from being discharged today. The doctors have increased his pain medications, and we are praying that the changes will help get his pain back under control. He is also back to not eating, and his blood pressure has been pretty low, so they just started a bolus of IV fluids.

It’s hard to see him take a step backward after having some really good days, but we know this journey is going to have its ups and downs.

God has a plan, and we continue to trust in the Lord and His timing. Sometimes it’s hard to understand why things happen the way they do, but even in the hard moments, we choose to keep our faith. We know God is with us in this room, just as He has been every step of the way. 🙏💜

Please keep the prayers coming for his pain to ease, his blood pressure to improve, his appetite to return, and for his body to gain the strength he needs to get out of this hospital.

One day at a time. God is good, even on the hard days. 💜🙏
