19 days in the hospital, and Dad is finally out! 🙌

Mom was able to get Dad in to see his oncologist this Wednesday instead of having to wait until next week. They are going to stay up in Portland until then so it’s easier on Dad and he doesn’t have to make the trip back and forth.

Please keep praying that he continues to get stronger and that his oncologist deems him well enough to start the trial medication. 🙏 That is what we have all been working and praying toward.

One thing this journey continues to teach us is that you truly have to be your own advocate, or have my mom in your corner. ❤️ When Dad was discharged, his pain medication was written for half the dose he should have been receiving, even though the entire goal of this hospital stay was to get his pain under control and to a therapeutic level that could be managed at home. Thankfully, Mom caught it and advocated for him.

For now, Mom and Dad are still asking me to handle their calls, messages, and communication until things calm down a little. Thank you for understanding and for continuing to give them the time and space they need.

Most of all, please keep the prayers coming. Pray that Dad stays strong, that his pain remains controlled, and that Wednesday brings the news we are all hoping for, that he can move forward with the trial medication. 🙏💜

Thank you all for continuing to love, support, and pray for our family.
